This destination izakaya in the East Bay has yakitori and a good selection of noodles like soba. What I like is the tatami floor—you get to sit on woven mats with your friends around a table, which is very comforting. Take off your shoes, and it’s like you’re sitting around hanging out with friends at a Japanese restaurant. I like to get their soba, and I like ordering their yakitori—I order just about everything there. They even have chicken sashimi! I definitely need to go back and get some.

A true izakaya experience. Great sushi, skewers, and Japanese delicacies. Reservations recommended for popular dining times.

Great place for Japanese izakaya and yakitori dishes! Can be busy at times, especially weekends so going at opening time or making reservations recommended. Local tip: you can order food and drinks at the bar (first come first serve) while waiting for a table.
