Nature Preserve in Hickory Nut Gap. Great for a day trip hike coupled with a visit to Hickory Nut Gorge area and Hickory Nut Gap Farm.

A network of 5+ miles of trails through the woods. Picture is from Rattlesnake Knob, a 4.2 mile roundtrip hike. Rated moderate-strenuous. 15 minutes away. While these trails are popular, this preserve is more off the beaten path than some other hikes/locations.

Trails can be considered steep in places for those not accustom to hills :) Check out Wild Cat Rock with some cool man-made steps on the climb up. Trail at the Eastern Divide is a great up hill hike to catch a wonderful overloo of Fairview
