This was by far the most unusual dining experience I have had. Dining in total darkness, being served by an amazing guide Gabriel who is himself blind was really great. There is a printed menu to ou review before you descend into total darkness. Your waiter will also review the choices, first, second and dessert courses. Each course will also include a "surprise dish" chosen by the chef. I chose the surprise as I wanted to determine if I could figure out what I was eating. I feel this added to the experience. Amazing breakfast and brunch. It has the only dark restaurant inside a cave in the world. All waiters in the cave restaurant are blind.

En Casa de Rafa puedes desayunar los fines de semana, ofrecen de los mejores brunches de la zona. Además es toda una experiencia pues cuentan con una cueva artificial subterránea, donde los visitantes pueden realizar un tour. La vista y su alrededor campestre hace al restaurante un lugar diferente.

El restaurante "La casa de Rafa" ubicada en las faldas del Ilaló, rodeada de hermosos paisajes, se destaca por su ambiente de casa de campo, llena de luz y vida, con una vista sorprendente sobre el valle de Tumbaco. La arquitectura, simplemente una locura, hace de "La casa de Rafa" un lugar original y único. Es una construcción redonda hecha de troncos de madera, con un acogedor patio interior y techo vivo.
