Another beautiful beach nearby is Northshore Beach which gives you a different perspective of Grand Haven because you have to drive over the drawbridge to get there. Worth it!

This is a more private beach experience for folks who prefer to avoid the crowds often found at GH State Park beaches. 18775 North Shore Drive Ferrysburg, MI 49409 Directions From US-31, take the Ferrysburg exit west on to 3rd Street to North Shore Drive. Turn west on North Shore and travel two miles to the entrance. Looking for a smaller beach that has a few less people than Grand Haven State Park? Then this family friendly beach is it. A short drive across the bridge, it has all the State Park has to offer without all the hustle and bustle. Also has a huge dune behind it that is fun to walk up and run down. $7 parking fee for non-residents.
